For me personally, command blocks. It's amazing with what you can do with them.

Block of coal is the best is black :D

The different wood blocks. I love building so using those for texture etc.. is the best for me

Cobble, literally cannot go wrong with cobble bro.

I think wood is pretty good because you use it in alot of builds.

any kind of quartz just makes me feel fancy

I can't get enough of the command block the amount of possibilities even can make the game look completely different in some aspects adding circles etc.
