Dignidad Colony
During a military coup in Chile, a young revolutionary photographer is kidnapped and sent to a mysterious closed colony - a settlement that has become a political prison used by the Chilean secret police for torture and murder. His girlfriend, spitting on other people's instructions, voluntarily goes to the Colony to join her ranks, and then find and save her beloved.

I clicked on this thinking of posting Pride and Prejudice (also 2005) so I was really surprised that it was OPs favorite too hahaha. The story is just so well written I love Pride and Prejudice.

Gotta second Love Actually, it has a bunch of romance stories that would work on their own but then it intertwines them pretty well. It's a great movie, but poor Karen :(

Not a movie but just recently watched Anna Kendrick's new HBO show Love Life and I can't recommend that enough.
