This post was shared on 2016, it was game changing to have edu or gov domains back then. Now, it may even flag your website and kill your seo o google. So be careful, AI is more intelligent than ever and as far as i understood google spider tries to make meaningful connection if there is a strong backlink to a newly opened, seo aggressive website google easliy find outs that you are doing blackhat.

are this working with the google update on october 9th?

.edu and .gov backlinks are really helpful to every websites.
