I've only seen the Pokemon anime, and that's the only Anime I've seen. Anyone have recommendations for a good first anime? Open to any recommendations.

I recommend boku no hero academy, it was with one of the anime that I returned after a long time to see anime

You should start with Kimetsu no Yaiba, its very good with a amazing story and high quality animations

Personally love Tokyo Ghoul, particularly Root A.

Everyone has different preferences, some recommendations to check out though:
Sword Art Online
Tokyo Ghoul
Attack on Titan
Death Note

These are more mainstream media, but other recommendation (of what I have seen):
Highschool of the Dead
Parasyte
Assassination Classroom
Danganronpa

Everyone is different, if you got a friend who has similar interests to you, and they watch anime, ask them for recommendations.
