Pretty sure my first ever steam game was somthing like TF2 or Arma 2 think I got steam when i heard about Arma 2 Dayz Mod.

It was a "Left 4 Died", bundle for 4 Friends.

Quite a late purchase, for that time, but it was an incredible game experience with 4 friends in Coop.
