Am i the only 1 that took 1hour to find out how this site works?

No you're not the only one! I have to applaud you though, at the very least, you find the right section to ask a general question like this! I've seen (that I assume took even longer to figure it out) that post incomprehensible random questions that are often nonsenical, right in contest/giveaway areas that have nothing to do with their questions.

The forums are pretty similar to how other sites function. Are you not often on forums? Or is this something new?
