I do it too sometimes but I quickly correct myself, maybe because the r is silent

Yep, I stand against the dictionary on this. No silent Rs should be allowed.

Well, depending on where you live and the circles you're with online. In a lot of accents the R isn't pronounced, and if grammar isn't a big thing in your circles i'd be surprised if anyone bothered to correct you.
