Force read rules for new members

Every new member comes to forum and create thread about credit system. No one reads the rules.

so it will be good if you force new user to read rules after registration..

Can be fixed with some easy questions, but i'm sure this would make a lot of people to not join.

i'm not saying add it before registration. I'm saying that add it after registration..

Ways around that

You can make the I agree button close the window but they are still not able to post. When trying to post it will say "please actually read the rules before posting".

How will we know? There's a secret link hidden inside of the rules with no highlight, no color change, nothing different. Just have it say "click here to confirm you have read the rules". Once you click, badabing badaboom

This is a good idea. A lot of website already have this implemented, multiple forums, websites, and even video games can have this one way or another. I think that it's a simple add-on that's effective. It forces people to read the rules and look.

Google for example, You must scroll to the end of the modal to see the "agree" button :D

No.... The "agree" button I'm talking about would be hidden within the rules/terms and conditions. You would have to actually read the rules to find the button.

Or a simple countdown, eg, 1 minute.

Well you could do that, and people would just click agree willy nilly. You could make like a 3 question quiz to pass based on the rules like 'can you dox forum members' etc, but this could just drive away people wanting to register (if I had to do that when I first signed up I wouldn't of bothered)

But if you do ask questions, make sure they are essential and nothing crazy, because 99% of people will be instantly turned off by it.
