Do you really think that minecraft can be more popular than Fortnite ?

It already is.
It has been since fortnite came out, this can't even be comparable considering how much fortnite has died since its peak already. Minecraft is waaay higher in continuing users and since people have to pay for it they're gonna feel like it's more productive to keep going on than fortnite.

I'd think that Minecraft has always been a bit more popular besides when Fortnite was just starting to become popular
But they're extremely different games, so judging them on popularity is a bit unfair.

Even when fortnite was becoming popular people stuck to minecraft because fortnite had less to do and was boring to them
Minecraft versions of fortnite exist too, and have before fortnite ever even did
So yeah, I agree but I'm not sure if fortnite outdid minecraft's users significantly at that time but it may have gotten close.
Fortnite is like a lesser version of minecraft gamewise but with more realistic graphics. That's about it.

That's very true. Minecraft can basically give you the same experience of a Fortnite Battle Royale by joining like, the Hunger Games servers or whatever. Unless the blocky style isn't your thing.
I can't really say more than that though, my experience with Fortnite vs Minecraft is vastly different, I haven't played much Fortnite myself.

The only difference between the games would really be if you prefer the graphics of one over the other. Both have their setbacks but both have their advantages. For one thing, fortnite is going to have a specialized making since it's made for only one type of gameplay. Since minecraft is made for multiple kinds, people are going to code the battle royales differently in each server and the number of maps can be small if the server isn't huge, so fortnite might have better or a more professional setup.

But think about how fortnite is free vs how minecraft isnt. If you have a free game, anyone can play and you'll get a lot more people who don't care about playing much and you'll be up against people who troll a lot more. And a lot of kids who will just get in the way. IF you play a paid game of the same kind, people will likely take it more seriously because they dont want their money to go to waste if they get banned.

That's also another thing, that Minecraft can have personalized servers with specially coded things specific to the server. I'm not sure if Fortnite can do that? But Minecraft seems more customizable to me? As I said, I have little experience with Fortnite.

I don't think fortnite can do that. I've never played but I've seen people play and it looks like they just connect to servers hosted by the game itself, not personalized ones like minecraft. Since minecraft has personalized servers and its own hosted servers AND a singleplayer mode, I think it far outdoes fortnite anyway though, at least as far as getting users that will play the game continuously and not just ditch after getting bored of one game mode.

That's true. The few times I have played Fortnite, I've just found the game confusing to use, and could never get Battle Royale to work anyways.
Both are very simple, but it seems like Minecraft has a little more complex structure you can dabble in that isn't just "survive in a cube world."

Watching it is so confusing. The minecraft ones are much more straightforward and that makes it more entertaining for me.
Minecraft seems more compex since developers can customize how their games work individually from other servers, while fortnite doesnt, but it also seems like fortnite can make more complex features if it chooses to, it's just not as much so as the minecraft unless they want to add updtaes I guess.
