StartSSL went out of business in jan 2018.
See here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/StartCom

It should probs be removed from the OPs Post.

StartSSL's name was really shit on after WoSign's fuck up.

This. I wouldn't recommend StartSSL either.

Don't forget sslforfree.com powered by lets encrypt. you don't need the bot. Just enter details manually to get the certificate if you have a webhost without free ssl and no shell access
Want somethingcracked or leaked? PM me and I'll see what I can do! Also free simple GFX requests and signatures.

Do not rely on free certificates. All your data is transmitted over that server. You endanger the security of your data. They are also shared certificates. These do not benefit you, they do harm.

free ssl is pointless, most browser will show warning anyway and make users leave

Let's Encrypt is probably the best just due to the fact there are so many useful tools for automate renewals of the letsencrypt certs. I personally have used it with websites, exchange servers, and even firewalls.

I use LetsEncrpt which comes with Siteground. The only annoying thing is having to renew it every three months.
