Depends, if you're into campaigns go for hl2. if you're into EVERYTHING IN THE ENTIRE UNIVERSE go gmod

I dont really think you can compare gmod, and Half Life 2 tbh. They are two whole different genres, but if i had to say one, i would say garry's mod since i've never played Half Life 2, but i would like to someday..

Isnt this thread breaking one of the rules? Also i have never played half life 2 so im gonna have to say gmod. when i play half life 2 ill make sure to update my post.

i mean, there's no real way to compare them, if you wanna do a bunch of shit and play on servers with addons and stuff just get gmod, if youre gonna do a singleplayer campaign just do hl2

it depends cause if you only have so much space left gmod takes way more space cause of mods
