Is metro considered an action adventure? the story line is pretty good, and the sequel is coming out this 2019. its worth checking out.
also dishonored and bioshock series

You have to try out borderlands 2, amazing rpg system with almost infinite amount of weapons!

NieR: Automata. It's simply one of the best J-RPGs I've personally played in a long time. Stellar visuals, Amazing soundtrack, Deep story, and very nice 2B ass.
