If y'all don't already know, Garry Newman, the creator of Garry's Mod, is working on a brand new game known as s&box


But what what he's already shown on twitter, it looks like a brand new gmod.
He's even got a working physgun!


And rumor has it that Valve gave him a whopping terrabyte of assets along with SOURCE 2

That is really sweet to see, I had no idea. And I have spend a lot of hours in the game and I couldn't wait for GMOD 2.

hopefully its really good as seen. im sooooo keen for it tbh
its a shame they took the discord down for is since people were being a pain on it

Yeah, the game is going to on Source 2 which is going to be amazing and can't wait for this game to come, a better engine and community development is going to be fun.

Garry's mod 1 can never be replaced, BUT

Have you seen how large the maps you can make in Source 2 hammer?
I think someone ported all of paris to it when source 2 came to dota and people were experimenting with it.

Can't really confirm this since it was on the now-defunct facepunch forums

Jesus, well maybe with that could be better then garry's mod 1, never been able to even make a bloody map

S&box is going to be goat, with source 2's tools it'll be killing gmod off in a matter of months.

I'm also really looking forward to the release of S&box. But how fast GMod will be replaced by it really depends for me on how fast mods and especially the game modes you know from Garry's mod will be available. The sandbox mode is quite fun, but for me no real reason to play the game.
