Preface
Hello everyone Today I will show you what fasteners are in Garry's Mod!
1. Rope
The rope is one of the simple fasteners, it connects one object to another. this is how it all looks like: take two objects and connect them (1 time lmb on one and again on the other) And we get this result With the help of a rope, the attached objects will move only within the length of the rope (Which, by the way, can be adjusted, as well as whether it can break with a certain force).
Also, the rope can be attached to the brushes (walls, ceilings, etc.), thereby you can hang any object by making it either a decoration or part of your duplicate.
2. Hydraulics
Hydraulics is a mount that expands when you press the zabindin button, therefore distancing objects from each other.
First of all, we do all the same actions as it was with the rope. After that, your connection will look something like this, then you need to press the key that you set to expand or compress. Here you can see that the stool has moved away from the cabinet.
3. Winch
A winch is almost the same as hydraulics, but with one exception - the object does not stretch from another object, the length of the rope itself changes. here's how it looks: now we click on the extension and see that the rope has fallen, this indicates that its length has become longer. You can make sure of this if you move this stool away from the cabinet:
There is also a button for shortening the winch, in this case the length of the winch will decrease, thereby moving the object back to the fastening point.
4. Motor
The motor is one of the fasteners not connected with ropes. it resembles a wheel by principle, but only in the wheel you can take only what is on the list, and in the motor you can take anything! For example, I have these items: Click on the propeller with a tool and the propeller becomes transparent. Now it can be attached to the pass and when you press the button it will spin
5. Muscle
The muscle is something similar to hydraulics, but unlike it, the muscle will move back and forth after activation. here's what it looks like
6. Axis
The axis is something like welding (more on it later) or a motor, but without a button for rotation and it moves freely. I won't show what it is, because I don't see anything particularly interesting in it.
7. Welding
Welding is the most used attachment in the game, it connects two objects together, and they begin to be one. To start welding objects, you need to press the LMB on the two objects that you want to connect. Let's take two steralki, press the toolgun on one, then on the other. And voila! now if you take one, another will follow him. Also, welding has a 2nd mode, for this you need to press the PCM on the object and it will become transparent. then you click on the PCM again and now use the mouse to rotate the object into the position you need (rotation can only be horizontal)
8. Slider
Slider - it makes the object move only on one axis and in one position, there is nothing more sense to tell.
9. Hinge
Hinge - With the help of it, the connected object will be able to freely rotate around the object to which it is connected. This is how it looks like
10. Pulley
Pulley - works like something like a rope, i.e. if one object pulls the rope on itself, then the rope connected to another object will shorten.
11. Elastic
Elastic is a rope that can stretch for a very long distance, and then it shrinks. now I'll show you how it happens:
there are two steralki in front of us, as we can see the rope is very stretched, now let's unfreeze them. After defrosting, we see that they are attracted to each other.
The end
Thank you for reading this guide! I hope I helped you figure out how the fasteners work in Gmod.
