Of course it won't work, if you already have the maximum speed in your area.

Of course it won't work, it's a fucking retarded method and only a nigger would try to use it*

had a little typo

Haha

No, this would work for sure if you can use your brain
If you still claim it's faulty, they send out an engineer who believe it or not, doesn't use your laptop to perform his tests... :hurr:

well, this is probably going too far, but if the engineer just runs an online speed test on his laptop, you COULD intercept the data and falsify it to make it look slower than it is (change the webpage). though if he were to run it by manually connecting his laptop to the modem and testing it with his own tools then yeah this method is fucking stupid.

an engineer will definitely use his own equipment.

He doesn't test it on a computer, he would also run it by putting it directly into your data connect (phone jack).
If it's fine for him, and you still claim BS. He may go through other means, but he only gets paid to check your line not your hardware so... The most you'd ever get out of it is new cables, a splitter or a new router depending on how much of a fuck they give.

This wouldn't work at all for UK residents, they'll see you're chatting shit when using line diag. If you still claim it's faulty, they send out an engineer who believe it or not, doesn't use your laptop to perform his tests... :hurr:
Not saying don't try, but prepare to look like a twat in front of an engineer.

When the engineer arrives, tell him it started working fine just now.

Solved?

Here if you order engineer and the product works fine you have to pay around 100 fine.
No exceptions. If you do speedtest it does not count because they can do their own speedtest to analyze the speed which you can't alter.
Do not allow the eye to fool the mind.

within the uk would not work currently i work for virgin media (uk) asnetwork engineer. there do a lot of line checks with the number 17070 on your bt telephone keypad. :glasses:but when the internet speed is down and not getting full speed we send a engineer out to your home. to test the line sometimes bill you is free or there a 50 sub charge on your next bill.

If will not work in India. All Indian ISPs are retarded they will not increase our speed even if we are getting slow speed.

I'm not really interested in the leak here, but I just wanted to share my two cents on internet speeds and fooling ISPs.

A method which I know to have worked in the past was to tell the ISP that you internet is just extremely slow and ask them to try to "boost the signal."
My ISP is Cogeco Cable and they fell for it right away. The next thing I knew, my speed was slightly fast, not very much faster, but it was still worth it.
If your ISP is ripping you off with slow internet, just contact them to "boost the signal." They are able to do it from their computers and you just might get lucky.

Of course this will not work if you already have maximum speed, but for cable connections, I know that it is possible.

The way that cable works is that your signal is split amongs all of the houses receiving from the same output box in your neighbourhood.
The way that DSL works is that your internet is 100% your's, BUT the connection becomes weaker the further away you are from your ISP's main server building.

It's really a matter of having the ISP not rip you off for what you're paying them, because they will try this, I can guarantee that.

So that was my little bit of information that I wanted to share about ISPs and connection speeds.
I hope you enjoyed it and learned something new from it.
