Get back into Minecraft?

Used to play Minecraft A LOT like 2 years ago, now I'm wondering if its worth it to return

I think is worth to play it like when you have nothing to do because after a while it gets kinda boring

I think that minecraft changed a lot after 2 years, so you come back to it but I think that you won't play it.

Get some friends, make a gimmick of a server and have some goofs. thats it
