Gmod Server Owner

I am a server owner, any other server owners have good advice for me and my server?

1. have no voice of a 10 year old child
2. Learn Lua fix yourself buggs and others*it
3. make something special and dont be a main stream server

Try your hardest to build a real core community on the server, make friends, talk to people, NEVER assume you're more important than other players

but most importantly don't do it for money, could easily make 100x more than most gmod servers per month if you put your mind to something else.

Focus on making your server unique, and think about what could make it more fun. Listen to your staff and users suggestions and preferably get to learn some programming if you don't, it would make everything a lot more easier.

Make the server unique get some custom content up in there and don't focus on the money, keep it as less of a pay-2-win server as you can.

I know someone who has 3 servers and doesnt have access to them what do we do?

Try not to spend all your money on gmodstore. I would try to find a decent map and in the future make some edits or even make a new map. Try to balance User and VIP jobs and having a lot of VIP jobs will make people not want to play.

The best servers are the ones where the owner and mods aren't stuck up. Most people join to have some fun, it makes the experience better if the people running the show are looking for fun as well.
