Iron.

Quicker to obtain, more efficient & lasts much longer than gold.

Iron is better for obvious reasons. Gold pickaxes aren't bad though for temporary use, lol.

Iron is more useful for tools but Gold is more useful for building giant saxophones Tongue

Goldis a fairly rare ore found inMinecraft. When mined with anIronPickaxe or better it drops onegoldore. It serves little use as a tool because of its very low durability, which is often overlooked by players .Goldore is found deeper than more ores in the game, below layer 30.

Iron all the way , gold may have a fast digging speed, but it has the durability of stone tools , while iron has both durability and a fast speed.
