Good Forum Hostings for Gmod Communities?

I'm looking for a good and preferably free forum host for a community, it would be awesome if it had steam integration, I mean, if you could log in with just your steam account to prevent duplicate accounts, and the most important thing all, that I can have my own domain and NOT something like "CommunityNameDOTXForumsDOTcom" or something like that. What would you recommend?

For my old community I used Mist forums. It's a nice simple forum that doesn't take to long to set up. Pro Boards also isn't bad, it's more advanced then Mist forums but if done right you can make a really nice forum with Pro Boards.

A lot of the server owners I know who've tried mist forums didn't like it, some said it was too basic and that it didn't have enough plugins. Personally I prefer using the hosting I get with a server plan and MyBB

Even though you're looking for free boards, if you ever want a great board, IPB and Xenforo are my go to. I personally don't think you'll get anything great w/o paying a little bit of money.

Mist Forums is very basic, it's good for a community that's just starting or one that likes to keep it simple. I also like MyBB, I personally use my discord for forums for my community as I got a custom bot made to do so.

Yeah it seems like a lot of communities are using discord instead of forums now, at least not the massive ones with 6 different servers.
