I was honestly just planning to take the email and the steam account and let him keep the $10 because I'm a nice guy

You should take your steam back and go.
Can you not change the email for the steam account to prevent him from recovering it?
If not, then take the email and don't touch his things. Be nice c:

Just be the better person and don't fuck him up. You say you could get the steam account back, then do so and leave his other personal stuff/email alone.

Well to be honest, if he did it once, he'll probably do it again, if not to you, then to others. I wouldn't think twice about fucking him over, though I've been scammed for a lot more in the past, so yeah...
