Got very interested in Computer Science, but I mostly learned theory and haven't started programming yet. Also, is it wise to major in CS and go on to do graduate degrees in physics? or is it better to degree in maths (I have won olympiads for both subjects, I'm just more interested in Physics, but I'd like to work on AI development and engineering)?

i'd say just stick to what you're most familiar with, but if youre still interested in programming then what you can do is just make some small project(s) and just keep making stuff. i kinda learn it that way by myself + googling and it is kinda working. i cant say it'd work for you too but just try to keep making stuff i guess. just remember to have fun Smile (don't really take my word from me, im still in high school so my life's decision might be bad sometimes)

and also, i think AI development would be pretty easy for you since well, you know math so i think you'd have fun. Smile

Dr. Angela Yu has a great course that approaches Python in a different manner than other people. You can find the course on Udemy

That's great that you're interested in Computer Science! Theory is an important foundation, but programming experience is equally crucial. Start coding to enhance your practical skills.

As for majoring in CS and pursuing a graduate degree in physics, it can be a viable path if you're passionate about both subjects. CS skills can be highly beneficial in AI development and engineering, even within a physics context. However, it's essential to consider your long-term goals and interests to make an informed decision. Research the specific requirements and career prospects in each field to make the choice that aligns best with your aspirations.

The Odin Project is pretty high quality imo, good way to get into web dev.
With any language W3Schools is good for reference.
Theory is important in CS but ofc you need to put that knowledge into practise too so don't skim on either lol

Jump in feet first by deciding on a project you think would be cool, then learning everything needed to realize the project. Learn by doing in programming.
