Evening gentleman. It's time to touch the subject that we're anxious to bring up with others, yet for some makes up for most of our life; masturbation (or fapping for us guys). Honestly, the topic of fapping and how to stop it has popped up a lot on the forums for many reasons; perhaps the religion one worships has rules against it, perhaps it's affecting their sex life, maybe they hate the act itself since they wish they could instead be getting laid with a girl. Regardless, I'll be giving you tips on how to stop fapping for as long as you'd like; and the guide here has been designed for those who either have trouble not doing it for a single week, those who depend on fapping during sex (it happens unfortunately), and everything else. So, let's begin.

Step 1: Remove any and all Porn
It's quite hilarious to see many people say that porn somehow teaches them to have sex with another person; the fact is it's doing the polar opposite. A porno is a film which has a main plot centered around two or more people fucking each other. The point of porn is to arouse us while we fap by showing us imagery that we find extremely appealing to our minds. But there are problems with porn:

- The action is real, but the story-line and satisfaction of both partners is fake. Most pornstars have painful bruises and injuries by getting into positions that WE think is arousing, but are just plain masochism to one's self.

- It's unrealistic. Most girls at our age aren't expecting a threesome, or some BDSM stuff; in fact, a blowjob or simple makeout session is what they'll usually really want to add during sex. If you want to make any sexual action between you and a girl uncomfortable, go ahead and be picky and see what happens. Your expectations for sex should simply be that; sex. No fancy add-on that porn shows (Note: Within closer relationships, it's important to spice up sex, but there's still no need for porn)

- It's addictive and causes dependency. Most people during sex realize that they can't climax because they've gotten so used to climaxing during a certain scene or act. To add on, when watching porn, it's just you, your penis, and your hand. During sex, you can't grip your penis hard, you can't always go as fast as you usually do, and you can't just "skip" to a part that you enjoy. Sex is a partner thing, and porn focuses on YOU. If you can't let go of porn, you having any success in stopping masturbation as well as getting laid in the future is highly slim.

- It removes all pleasure and confidence. Most guys who wonder why they act all sappy near woman could easily have the correct one-word answer of "porn". Again, it's just you and no one else. All you have to do is type up some keyword and from 1 minute to a couple hours, you have a woman you don't know doing something that you enjoy seeing. But go up to a real girl without trying to be a perv, and it falls downhill. You also get numb to normal sex (simple vaginal and ect) as you watch it again and again, so you move on to harder and more exotic stuff and STILL get bored. So by the time you meet a girl, you're always going to be unsatisfied.

So you know the detailed reasons, but how do you stop? First, you need to get rid of all porn possible. If you have any files that you need deleted, do that now, and if you're afraid you might crack and watch more porn, here are a few apps whose main purpose is to simply block off all pornsite and porn-related content:

Honestly, the world of porn is as crazy as it gets. You get to decide if you depend on it or not. Besides, we all know our imagination can do way better; we know what we want to see.

Step 2: Restriction
When it comes to stopping it, step 1 was merely cutting off anything that helps you continue it on, but you still need to face the urges. The way to face this of course is to force your brain to "reprogram itself during those urges. Usually you're so used to doing it when you get into the shower or enter into a room, you do it immediately; but here are some ways to counter that.

Doing it in the shower? Try ice cold showers to deter you from even doing anything besides washing yourself. Try to limit yourself to a 5-minute shower time if possible. You have to make going to the shower only that; a time for showering.

Home Alone? Take advantage not by masturbating, but instead doing something you always wanted to do with friends or just yourself. I'm not saying go and throw a party just to mask the idea of being horny, but instead go outside, hang out somewhere, take advantage of your current situation.

Mandatory for sleep? Take a HOT shower (don't you dare get tempted), do a good stretch, avoid all technology, and honestly just get a mindset that you're going to get the sleep no matter what happens. Your body likes routines, but it HATES them when they become essential to do human tasks that are needed for good health; i.e sleep. If masturbation is causing you not to sleep or has become something you depend on, if you show your brain it's a problem, then sleep you'll get.

Naturally horny guy? Focus that energy in trying to get a girl to like you. As you go on, you'll notice the horny-ness almost drops off as you try to impress her.

The key is always distraction. Your brain loves to have short-cuts and distractions to do things, so make fapping look like a workload that you're better off without, or something that's holding you back, slowly but surely, it'll fade off. Of course, you need to have to confidence and plan to truly stop; the first few weeks are hell trust me, but after that, it gets easy.

Step 3: Staying Healthy Mentally and Physically
After a couple of weeks, you've stopped fapping, but of course, things aren't normal (if they are, congrats, you are one of the 10% who feel nothing after being addicted to fapping). If you've had any intercourse, you've had trouble not climaxing after 10 seconds, you've felt a bit depressed, and your arm is sore for reason. Why is this happening? Because you spent time fixing your brain to not need porn or the action of fapping, but your body still has it's urges that have either been held back, or ideas that need to be replaced.

If you're having problem during sex, here's what you can do:
- Convince your partner to slow things down a bit. Control your breathing and relax your muscles (yes, even the one down there). It's when you get a sudden rush of energy that gets your penis erect, and by adding on to that you climax. Sex also isn't just penetration, it's foreplay included.

- Think of boring mundane things; math, school, watching paint dry. 70% of sex is your mentality. You can have all the action you want, but if you're not there mentally, it takes far longer to climax. By taking these "breaks", you're able to last longer.

- Wear thick condoms. Regardless of the situation, you should't be going raw dog on her anyway, so by using a thicker condom, not only do you decrease the chance of breakage of the condom, but less stimuli means longer time in bed.

Feeling depressed? That may be because fapping was that key moment of the day you looked forward to and therefore it gave you pleasure. But again, your brain is able to be "reprogrammed". Your mind doesn't have a solid definition of "happiness", and therefore replaces it with "pleasure". All you have to do is find something you enjoy; i.e video games, music, movies, LeakForums, whatever gives you happiness. If you're skeptical that replacing the feeling won't work, let me ask you; which do you think your brain will appreciate more? A. Fapping which includes tons of effort and doesn't last that long. B. An activity that can be done anywhere at anytime and can last for hours. Your brain will catch on.

Arm sore? Pretty normal actually. By putting your arm through the same workout, you get it built up to withstand the daily brutality of fapping. If you suddenly stop, it's not being built up again and again, and so the lactic acid just stays and "simmers". What can you do? Lift weights is a great way. There are hundreds of different ways you can exercise and dozen of muscle-training instruments exist that you can test out that gives your arm/s the same force it was used to. Now you can show off BOTH arms to everyone without feeling awkward.

For me I just woke up one day and told my-self that I would stop because otherwise if my girl-friend found out at the time or parents it would destroy relationship,As a male I understand and the guide is great for males who can't stop Jerking off or fapping! I've tried all this...
But surprisingly the only thing that worked was doing it until it hurt lmao, then I physically couldn't.
That was a temporary solution, but the really long lasting one was doing it until I got so bored of it. Every time I did it, I could only think of how bored I must have been to be doing it and find something else to occupy myself. If I'm ever in a bad place mentally and stressing about something, it always helps, though I'm now far from everyday addiction.

Its nice to see that more people are taking up fight against fapping, its still difficult to go "clean". But at least i usually reach 7-10days without fapping. Any tips on how to push even further beyond?
