Yea sure, eyes! You can use your eyes and go though the code! It works the same, surprisingly many people are affected by backdoors because they simply don't check for them.

I know that i can use my eyes, but if there's easier way why not use it?

The program that he used was CPE - Anti Backdoor, you can find it on the steam workshop

Is it then sufficiently safe to remove the affected code lines to be able to use the addons?
And is the content even worth it?

You should indeed be aware of backdoors since i didn't crack all of the addons and it's simply a collection of addons, so there could be other backdoors.

Personally I think it's worth it, if you just go trough the code before you use an addon you're safe. Because it's not worth to pay so much money if you can just get it for free.
