Handheld Consoles?!

How many of you people have seen people making normal older consoles into handhelds? I think that is a really neat idea. I've seen people make N64, Ps1 and 2, Sega Genesis, and a couple others. I have a couple old consoles that don't work anymore that I'm thinking about opening up and trying to fix them and possibly make them into handhelds. Just the idea of taking a handheld ps2 to work is so appealing to me as a grown man. It'll be like when I took my gameboy advance on vacations except I'll be more miserable afterwards. Please share your thoughts and/or experience with things like this. I love these types of projects!!!

Could be fun but idk I cant really see myself whipping out a portable PS2 when I can bring a Switch. Unless I'm travelling somewhere for nostalgia? Otherwise I'd just play using the actual PS2..

I like the Nintendo switch. At first I thought it was stupid now I kinda like it. Its like a low key Wii

I've got a nintendo switch and some of the games are good but very expensive for what they are better as a hand held very slow through the tv it seems

I used to love the Atari links you don't see them around much these days

Funny how the industry was content to let handheld gaming die. Except for Nintendo of course
