How Good is VAC

The reason why people complain about VAC not being all that effective is because Valve doesn't want to make an intrusive anti-cheat. For example there was a huge community dissatisfaction when Insurgency added BattleEye Anti-Cheat (even tho it is used by many games), because it was somewhat intrusive. If Valve made VAC more intrusive, yes , it would be more effective but at the cost of privacy which would turn a lot of people off so they probably will not do it

Vac doesnt work, anyone can make an undetected cheat and its not hard to get around.

Yeah VAC will get u right way, plus once ur vac ur always vac

VAC is neither good or bad, I would say it is average anti cheat software, VAC will stop common low level cheats and scripts but most of the time premium hacks go undetected.
VAC can ban premium hacks but hacker must be stupid, if hacker use hacks carefully %99 of time hacker will not be detected.
I know some hackers banned after 6-9 months later so if a hacker can hack for half year without getting banned i would say VAC is not good at detecting smart hackers and it is hurting the game.
If they want to improve their game they should invest money for better Anti-Cheat they can use Machine Learning, Advanced AI, better Algorithms to detect cheaters or even buy premium hacks
from cheaters when a cheater release their plugin you will update the game 4-6 hours later than detect any hacker using new version of cheat etc. than ban cheaters each week by that way
you can stop most of the cheaters but Valve does not care about cheating problem of CSGO, Their VAC Anti Cheat is 6/10 not good or bad just average.

VAC is trash because its not good because there is not a lot work in it.

VAC isnt really good. Hasnt caught a lot of cheaters. I think overwatch is better though there are a few watchers left compared to the amount of cheaters/reports

kinda depends tbh, there have been instances involving people opening several hundred hacks at the same time, and it doing nothing, or it banning you for a little ESP...

Though this will normally happen due to it being outdated, or the particular game.

The number of cheats is still in hight that VAC cant detect, but still its better than no VAC
