How can i get back into gaming ? lost of interest?

i still recalled the time i played for the first time wow, i learned about it at school was with some friends who were talking about this fantasy world that got me hooked instantaneously, after school went with 3 usbs and went to my friends house just so i can get the installer and play on free server, i stayed almost 24 hours straight trying to lvled up; now days i can barely get any joy out of a game i play, i can barely stand half hour of one till i get disinterested, and idk why, i still have that desire to play but lack of interest i guess ?

I think getting a pc might be a new refreshed way to get back

you get older, you get guilt for wasting time not being productive

I feel like the best way to get back into gaming is with a game with great story that lets you really sink into the immersive world like RDR2 or FFXIV

Don't force it. Interests change as you get older and have other hobbies or life gets in the way.

Maybe try a genre you haven't played much before, or find a friend or two that would be willing to try new stuff.

Honestly only find myself drawn to a game or 2 every year most everything is recycled garbage. Find something real immersive to get wrapped up in or join a discord for some multiplayer shenanigans the only way I can really have fun with games nowadays.

I feel you. Try to get your friends into it, then you have a motivation.
