How did you guys get into enjoying Manga

Hmm,.. Hard to recall. I would say through forums and the internet in general!

I just like reading in general and got into manga through that (also because a friend recommended one and I got hooked.)

I used to not want to read the manga because it was black and white and had no color but I realized that the color doesn't matter as long as the story is great. But, if you still can't get into it then you can read manhwa as they have color.

Before I started reading Mangas I used to read comics like Garfield, Dilbert, Calvin & Hobbes, etc. Then started watching english dubbed anime, whichg got me to watching english subbed anime,and finally to reading Mangas.

If your into anime, youll know that feeling of rbeing new to the genre and really getting sucked in to a series (I mean like ful on invested in the character etc...), think about what attracted you to that series and try to find a manga with similar charecteristics, shouldnt be hard seeing as Mangus follow more or less similar tropes and lines to anime

Try out manhwa if you can't read without color, at first i didn't really interested on Korean type comic manga but after i read few chapters can't deny it's pretty good, for starter pack you can choose noblesses or tower god, romance untouched or orange marmalade, shounen for the god of highscool but didn't really like it, or you can search it yourself, but if you didn't really like manga it's fine but you should try to read like 100 chapters and you can decide furthermore you should stop or not for.

I know it's a bit corny but I started off with detective Conan and then death note - from then on I was lost.

Just read the small mangas and try to make it an animated show in your head. I used to fly through mangas that I got into because of this. I think I read all of one piece back when it was around 800 in a couple weeks of reading on my lunch break

I never really had an issue myself with the lack of color. It does seem dull and sometimes hard to delve into, but if the manga is good enough, you'll get past the dullness of color
