How do I actually Edit Project Files?

Hi, I tried to edit project files(Kira pf) that I downloaded recently and im getting a hard time editing the project files because all the files are missing and have to go throught a lot of downloading(Plug-ins). I dont know where to get those missing files. DO you guys happen to have guide or tutorials that i could follow through
