How do I get started in mining?

What's the best coin to start with and how do I get started? I don't want to cloud mine either so...

Best coin to mine is ETH,LTC or dogecoin. But doge coin can be really risky because of its atm value but its mined fast. Btw I suggest you use WIREX to spend the coins after you get some they accept basically all coins and give you free CC so you can buy stuff for coins.

Thank you but I really don't want to mine bitcoin, i'd like to start with the smaller ones.

What you learn from that website, you can apply to the other coins. That'll just tell you how to get started, once you get the just of it, you can take that information and use it to mine other smaller crypto currency.

And, i recommend you start farming Eth or BTC, but few weeks ago btc became cheaper and cheaper(

Mining any crypto currency is mainly GPU based, why would you need ram? also 4-8gb of ram is nothing.
