How do you feel about Serious RP?

Personally, I love Serious RP. But only when done right. Too many server claim to be serious when in actuality it's just Semi-Serious.
Or they are serious but also power hungry and reign over everyone trying to be edgy. I've seen few examples of Serious RP done right, usually in HL2RP.
My biggest problem is those servers disabling the microphone :p
What do you think?

It seems to be nice, but people do not take serious RP

Serious RP needs to save the entire RP at GMOD, because there are a lot of inadequacies in DarkrP and a lot of bad servers to play out the RP, but for that, their creators get a lot of money from them

I think SeriousRP is great when it is done correctly. For example, the original SantosRP server, that was great because you actually had to roleplay.

I love the concept, but, people seem to be unable to take serious rp serious for too long.

it only works if people are actually dedicated to playing it well...

If you have something like StarwarsRP then I'd say it can be taken serious. Have a good map, Good addons and overall a professional staff team and the server is set.

Serious RP in my eyes is just a bunch of old people trying to maintain calm in a place full of kids. they try hard, they are rude when you do something bad and sometimes they are worse than the kid screaming RDMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM when you shot him in a raid or by accident. I have seen some serious RP'S that I have liked, but many of them are just t 8G of addons and 1mega of fun.

Honestly if you want serious rp gmod really isn't the game for it, I really like gmod don't get me wrong but arma 3 is much better if this is what you're looking for.

I think it can be fun, as long as it's not too serious. It's bad if admins abuse it too much
