How do you guys clean your pieces?

I've always wondered how people have cleaned their pipes and bongs, do you guys full clean it or just halfway? What solutions/methods do you use to clean it? Maybe a natural way? I pour in some isopropyl alcohol andplug the open ends of my bong with cotton balls and shake it up, then rinse and repeat 3-4 times until its clean, I've heard some people let it sit for a while with salt? Let me know how you clean your piece.

i use isopropyl alcohol and iodized salt.

fill it so each part that is dirty with resin is being touched by the alcohol then pour iodized salt in plug the holes let it sit for a bit after sitting shake it up then rinse with water thoroughly.
make sure the scent of alcohol is completely gone before using again.
