As the title says i am wondering how people around here deal with it. i imagine asking here would be smart because of people probably being in similar positions.

Have not finished doing something in a long time, 900 tabs saved for "later." Hobbies that i want to get "good at"

Have tried setting a schedule, doing breaks inbetween and whatnot but it just never seems like i am going to stick with something.

I take whatever it is that is allowing me to procrastinate and remove it from my environment completely (ex: phone)

1. Stop lying to yourself. One of the biggest reasons people procrastinate is that they tell themselves that they have the time and/or energy to do the task "later". Then, this goes on over and over until it's TOO late.
2. Write a list of each part of your task, by order of priority. This way, you can follow a kind of "routin-ed list" and follow through with your task in the most productive way possible.
3. Get a friend onboard as an accounta-buddy.For tasks that are super duper important, you might reach out to a friend to help you stay on task; whether that be to call you once every hour and make sure you're still studying for that big test, or maybe even keep you company (and play DJ) while you clean your house.
4. Reward yourself for progress on bigger tasks. If whatever you're working on will take days, weeks, months, etc until you're finished, write up a list of certain small goals you have to complete to finish that ultimate task, and reward yourself with a small sugary treat, for example, or a couple episodes of your favorite tv show, as another example, for each small goal you complete.

I'll eventually get it done, given enough time. It's not that hard.

Procrastination has always been a hard thing for me, I've always procrastinated on stuff that are like assignments, but if I want to do something for myself such as a hobby, I work on it more actively than doing assignments and maybe it's because I find those such things interesting. I don't know procrastination has caused me a lot of trouble in the past and will probably haunt me forever
