How do you motivate yourself?

How do you motivate yourself to get things done that you need to do. Currently I'm trying to find where I left my motivation to finish this beginner Python course but I'm having trouble finding it.

Just think of the satisfaction you will get when you you will have finished it

Must admit it's fucking hard sometimes. Usually try to put up short goals so I feel I'm progressing.. Otherwise, just drop it for a while until you find motivation.
Do you have any specific goals with learning python? Like "this is what I wanna create"?

Yeah, I'll try setting some short term goals to accomplish. Well I want to get a new job, I am a security guard so I was thinking cyber security and figured I should learn how to read and write some code then go from there.

I'll be 100 percent honest I motivate myself with drugs. When I don't feel like doing something, I just get high and bam it's done.

I'd suggest you have a clear project in mind, i.e. build a webapp with django (find out how they work) or write a web scraper (you'll find tons of tutorials). I find it easier than just reading tons of documentation that you don't really know what to do with it.

I'll look into building something and hope that it helps keep me motivated to keep learning, thanks for the advice.

I dont need motivation really most of the time. If I do I think of the results that will happen if I get the task done. If that motivation isnt enough I just dont do it because its a waste of time.

I just think about the result or outcome of what I'm doing to motivate myself. Like a job for example, you know your working towards something greater.

Being happy and working hard and think about your goals also memes are good!
