In this complicated world, only the strongest prevail; now we all fight for a place under the sun, we are always in a hurry, and never have enough time for anything. And when we do have a free moment, we can't fully appreciate it. I personally work over 14 hours a day, and besides my main job, I have additional projects. However, when I find a free moment, I can't relax; I'm overwhelmed by a multitude of thoughts, plans, etc. How do you relax? Maybe you can give me some advice Wink

Maybe you have the possibility to break up you’re free time into different sessions like in school. After every lesson you so to say have 5min free time before the next one comes. Building that into your job after like every 2h a little break. Then you simply put a timer on ( for example 5min) close your eyes and eventually listen to music or something. Just enjoying the pure moment. This gives you more energy and then you get your things done quicker and more effective. After your job you do the same. Like working on the To-Do list; shopping, 5min break, hair cut, 5min break, cleaning the house, 5min break, project 1, 5min break, project 2, 5min break, etc

Simply said: for every (let’s say) 2h of work = 5min break = more energy for the next thing

My Tipp, that’s how I do it and it works quite well most of the times. Of course it depends on you’re kind of job as well, but maybe you can find a solution for yourself based on this idea

Cheers

You're right about taking breaks. I think it's impossible to work continuously without them. I take breaks too, and they certainly give me a boost of energy for subsequent activities. However, I was referring to relaxation in general when you have a bit more free time, like a Sunday or a short vacation. I just can't relax during such times. Damn, I envy people who say they relax here and there.

I do gardening. This is the most soothing more than music or reading.

That's a fantastic approach to managing your time effectively and ensuring you maintain energy and focus throughout the day! Implementing short breaks at regular intervals can indeed help prevent burnout and increase productivity. By incorporating moments of relaxation or enjoyment into your schedule, you're promoting overall well-being and balance in your life.

Listening to music tends to be my therapy, or honestly hot showers tend to work pretty well.

the gym is my go to. for at least 2 hours a day, 4 days a week, it gives me time to myself, keep myself zoned in and silence all the noise that's been going on from day to day. plus I get jacked and strong as a bonus
