How far has Minecraft come in term of good experiences

How good was mine craft bc I joined in 2012 and that was the best time of my life.

1.8 - 1.10 was the best in my experience like i dont like all the new stuff they are adding

Idk but Minecraft is not intressting in last year or two i remember old days i would play minecraft all day long and woke up next day waiting to play again
