minecraft shouldn't be $26 still, it should only be what like $10

The game is relatively cheap for how it is constantly expanding and becoming more immersive.
Looking at the game, they're even expanding it to have more features underwater in 1.13. That's not something that they can obtain from thin air Tongue
Not to mention, it's a one-time purchase with no additional purchases anywhere. You can even change your name for free, where in games like League of Legends it costs a fair amount of money.
No skins, no "loot boxes." I'd say it's pretty fair Tongue

Because it would not be fair to all of the people who bought the game before if they lower the price now.

You can change your name for free in Dota 2 and Dota is free.

I bought it back when it was cheaper but it still isn't that much compared to other games that have been out for longer

In my opinion it is to expensive.

15$ are okay but not 26? Yes you get new content but it is still java? So the performance is still not the best.
And in this time good performance have to be a standart...

But, think about it this way. Minecraft was released in 2009, and still is releasing new content. Some even older games are still $60, yet aren't supported anymore. Some old games where the host stopped even supporting online MP because it's an "old game" and not profitable. For the platform which Minecraft gives, it's a pretty nice deal.

Not to mention, you have to consider why it might be so expensive. If I were a (bad) hacker, and wanted multiple alts *without using a leak for some reason*, he could more easily do it at $15 or $9.99, compared to the price which it is at.
It's a decent game, with tons of additions. Even the servers already made are a huge selling point.

Yes thats true. But I don't think these old, not supported 60$ games are played anymore.

Minecraft is very popular and Microsoft get lots and lots of money from it.

With better performance or regularly updates I would accept the price. But for this I only think about 15 to maximum 20$.

Much respect. But, they are updating it. I assume they're also going to be doing some performance updates come 1.13, since it was originally named the "Technical Update"

Hell, have you seen the patch notes? (I just re-saw them, they renamed it to the Aquatic update, which would be 1.14)https://minecraft.gamepedia.com/1.13

Those old games should be dropped in price, not a game which is continuously updated as of such, granted, at long increments between update at a time.
