How much to spend on Christmas

Currently I am looking at roughly 1k on gifts for family and the food for the day. Everyone else in my family seems to not be spending nearly as much. How much do you guys usually chuck in?

I have to buy gifts for about 18 people, probably totaling near $2,000 once I'm all done.

Mostly toys for the kids that cost me around 300 dollars.

I think depending on the size of your family , it should be around 500-1200 bucks. I remember one year i spent like 2k and i felt it lol

$40 per person, family rule and it solves a lot of problems.

I don't really have limits on how much I spend on someone, though I don't go overboard on anything. I just buy whatever I feel fits them.

Less as possible. i really dont celebrate consumption, just becasue people buy stuff i dont have to do the same. also, i dont have a family, just my mother i come to visit so my presence is a gift. my gifts are given in other ways.

$2000!? Holy shit, i spent like 100 between family members lol...

easily 1k you feel a lot better when you do and if you do something good you will get somethign good in return
