1) Twitter Analytics - using this you can find several types of information. like upcoming events and many more.

2) https://www.quora.com - of course, Quora is another medium to conduct your topic research you can find several topics that were not perfectly answered by us. you can cover it on your Personal Blog.

3) Google Trends - Google Trends is another way to find a Fresh Real-time content idea.

4)Google Webmaster tool - basically This one is not a topic explorer or topic research kind of tool but it keeps an overview of your website. like all the keywords where your website ranked for certain keyword. just go through this tool you might find many topics to write about.

5) Reddit .com yahoo answer, discussion forum these are also very handy in topic selection just find any forum with your topic interest and start exploring it. you will find many topic ideas, for example, I would like to write about the SEO and digital marketing things I will try to find any forum related to SEO and digital marketing suppose I got one @blackhatworld forum. I will go through all posts inside forum may be till evening am ready with 20 to 30 new content topic ideas.

Simply download Relay for Reddit App. Use it to find Hot topics and trending news. Then, do a small keyword research and voila, you have a hot topic to discuss on your website.

If you can't afford Relay App for Reddit, download Telegram Chat Application and search for Reddit app. Use it to find hot topics...

Yaa can use buzzsumobut i think it is a paid tool isn't it.

Thanks for the headup. I have a bad content writer and all this research for new topics end up being useless because in the end she comes up with pretty poor content.

WHat if my site is extremely new and does not have any views? Will posts about competitive topics and news will get attention from Google?

Another resources you can use are Keywordtool.io & Stubleupon. Go to keywordtool.io & type in your main keyword & then click the questions tab: it will give you a lot of common question which are being asked in your niche & they will also have a decent search volume. Stumbleupon can be use to find trending niches on which you can write content (the competition is lot less in these niches).

another good source is Buzzsumo...!.. it is a great web to find good topics
