How to become a professional animator?

2d is tough right now, but the skills can and will help in all aspects of animation. Start with the foundations and build your skills. Don't expect your work to look professional (or anywhere near) for a few years. Aaron Blaise is a former Disney Feature animator and director and has some great courses that go on sale a lot.
