How to make a server?

How would you make a server? Does anyone have some videos i could watch on it?

I don't know if I'm allowed to post links but google ' Port Forward Garrysmod " And tons of videos/step by step websites will appear. That's for local hosting so if you disconnect or your internet goes out the server will shut down. You can also look up Garrysmod Dedicated servers and either pay for a high speed/high player count or host one on a separate machine through a home network.

I would search up on youtube how to make a gmod server with steam CMD

There's a couple of methods, I.E. buying one which is the easiest way, or making one yourself via steam CMD. In my personal opinion, buying one is a better option, just get a friend to if you cant. That's what I'm doing. The steam command way is...eh.

What server do you wish to make? There are many Garry's Mod server tutorials on the forums.

In the server list, hosting. with friends just go to, create a game --> set players to however many --> create game --> invite friends.

if u are using a host then they should have a video with a starter guide using their format but u can just search some yt videos
