How to stop people from hacking on Garry's mod

use the cheat yourself and work out what its doing, then try and prevent it

Stealing scripts should not be to much of a problem. That is impossible to do now, although there is still a thing out there called "scripthook" which can take configuration files, but it cannot take the actual scripts.

You can buy yourself an anticheat like CAC, but it's not going to do much but stop a few hacks.
Gmod is sadly a game that's too easy to hack and you can't do much to stop hackers.
You might be able to find yourself a small, relatively unknown and expensive anticheat plugin/addon that'll give you some OK results, though it won't pick up everything.
Gmod needs a better anti cheat. As far as I know it has VAC, but it's not super great.... not that VAC is good at all (lmao csgo).
Most hacks are clientside, and will not be stoppable.

Unforunently I don't think you can just try to have anti-cheat systems like Cake and SimpLAC but other than that I don't think you can really prevent them stealing scripts

you really cant stop hackers, even when you have a anti cheat because one day there will be a bypass for your anti cheat

Just ban everyone that joins your server :p

Anything made by humans can be broken by them.
An AntiCheat is in no way an exception to that sadly...
If there's a game that doesn't have that good of an anticheat built onto it on both the server and client side then sadly there's no real way of stopping them.
Garrys Mod needs some kind of a VAC, but I realize that it might come with a fuckload of false-positives just due to the nature of some addons...
