so for 0.71p you could probably buy a can of fizzy juice, cola, dr pepper, etc. crisps, small stuff like that

Maybe a bag of candy. depending on the size of said bag. There is a place i used to live near, that would have fairly good donuts for, the equivalent of 99 cents one day out of the week
