I have an underage girlfriend...

I am currently 19 years old and I have a girlfriend who is 16 years old. We really like each other, and we would like to take it to the next step. But since she is underage, I don't know what the consequences would be. Maybe we will break up, and out of anger she'll tell the police that I slept with her, so I don't want to risk it. Any suggestions on how I should handle this?

16 is deff a young age. I believe her mind is not set yet. I actually had a close friend who was dating a girl who was 8 years younger than him, she was 17 at the time and he was 25. He ignored my warnings and went out with her. At the time the girl thought it was cool and she was happy but as she grew up she started realizing I guess how wrong and disgusting he was to even ask her out. She dumped him for that reason too because she kept hearing from her friends that he was a pedophile for what he did.
