I love learning new languages. One thing that has helped me is watching a movie and using subtitles that are the opposite of the language with the film. Ie If the film is Polish I would used English Subs and if the movie was in English I would use Polish subtitles. It helps with not only hearing the new language but site recognition of the words.

Exposure to it in any shape of form is useful.
It won't help you learn it specifically, but you'll get accustomed to it and start recognising patterns and syntax.

Of course, always accompanied by diligent and proper studying to keep up and go deeper.

I've heard people learn a different language just by watching episodes of shows. I know a few Japanese words because I watch anime. xD My wife told me that one of the BTS members learned English just by watching Friends growing up. The more you interact with people who speak English, the more you'll pick it up. I've seen people on other forums who didn't know English well when they first joined the community, but years later they're typing in more fluent sentences. Anyways hope you enjoy your stay here!
