Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kai - a very unique anime with horror elements.
Personally I'd recommend Yama no Susume - it's a light, cute daily life anime that doesn't focus on fan service. but rather represents real life situations.

you should check out fullmetal alchemist, have seen all the series, pretty dang good tbh

I can recommend the tower of god as the god of highschool, although they are new animes, it is seen that the character is going to be super op and the plot is very good.

Dunno how OP the main character is, but Fate/Stay Night is a great anime to watch. Start with the 2006 series though.
