I need to get some help, which graphics card should I get or have in mind of getting?

Currently the graphics cards I am looking at is around the 4-$500 price era and I need to know the best I was going to get a GTX 1080 but people told me dont waste the extra money get the 1070 so Im confused on what to get.

For that price range get a 1070 Ti or a 1080.
