So this boy and I "used" to like each other, we were best friends, we had a small fight one day and I stopped talking to them, recently the messaged me saying how sorry they were but I didn't answer, I just left them on read, this was on christmas day, since them I've been thinking what to say, is it too late? what if they hate me now because I didn't answer?, what should I tell them?, should I use an excuse of why I left them on read?, what excuse should I use? Ive been also drawing and drawing stuff that I could maybe send them as a sorry since they would always say they loved my art, but for some reason I can't seem to get myself to send it.
So.
If you have any idea of how can I maybe fix this.
Please tell me!

Don't overthink it. Just explain that their message caught you off guard because it was unexpected and you didn't want to just respond reactively, you wanted to take the time to really think it thru.

Lies only bring on more lies. Just be truthful, say you were stuck on what to say and that you were waiting for the right words to come to you. If it's meant to be, it will be!

Just tell the truth. I don't know what the "small fight" was about but if you were really close at a time, they'll understand that you didn't know what to say at first and you needed time.

But you've got to do something about it fairly quick. Friends tend to become nothing more than acquaintances after a moment. I know this too well.

Just message him a simple reply like "Hey, what's up?"

If he doesn't respond then that's that and move on. If he does, don't apologize unless he asks why you didn't text him back. Obviously it has been the Holidays so that's a legit excuse.

Be friendly, don't come out and tell him your feelings, guys tend to over analyze girl's feelings and make stupid decisions. Just be the cheerful girl I'm sure you are and ask him about his week.

You didn't screw anything up. It's just a text, not the end of the world.

Thanks! I'll try that out!
I'm actually gonna wait for his birthday (Jan 11) So I can have "an excuse" to text him
