What parts would you recommend for a gaming PC to play the newer games at 1080p 60fps on medium-high?

Intel Core I3 or a Mid-range I5 (going back even to 4th generation will do fine) (second hand recommended)

16GB of DDR3 or DDR4 ram (buy second hand, RAM is expensive as fuck brand new right now , processor dependant, 6th, 7th, and 8th generation are DDR4, 5th, 4th and 3rd gen are DDR3 but double check the processor before you buy the memory)

Dunno what to go for on motherboard, that's entirely CPU dependant

hyper 212 evo cpu cooler, or something a bit better like a 120 / 140mm AIO, bigger the better Imo but yeah.

Nividia 900 series or 1000 series card ( 960, 970, 980, 1050, 1060)

750 or 850W Gold PSU (Fully Modular recommened)

an ssd of your choosing, 240gb or above recommended for boot
2tb or above HDD for games and other shit.

This is my built part for part. I've had it for the almost 8 months now, and never had trouble playing newer games at 60fps. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/DW7MZR And if your looking to upgrade the cpu, I recommend Intel - Core i5-7400

I'd suggest you wait, new GPUs are going to be released eventually, and the price for like a GTX 1080TI will drop a lot so...

^^ Agreed, GPUs are still kinda overpriced imo. Might just want to wait and build somehting you can use for a while

I went with an i7 5960x but that is just me I do alot of 3d rendering. But when it comes to playing games that cpu is amazing.
