I want to learn how to code webpages what languages do i need to know?

The basis of websites is HTML and CSS. However, there is also php depending on the type of webpage.

HTML/CSS
you sort of lean css as you learn html but yeah html is the language webpages use if you want to know the code of the webpage you're on just hit f12(on chrome) on your keyboard
that's the actual code of html that makes the webpage you're looking at

If you're a beginner, w3schools is a good resource for learning the basics on Web Development.

To make webpages the basic HTML5/CSS3, good to know also Jquery or javascript. If you use scripts software (Wordpress, others) PHP

If you just want a basic site then HTML/CSS and maybe some JS in there. If you want the site to have functions then you'll need PHP and if the functions store data then abit of MySQL knowledge too.

Try to start with HTML and Javascript. Then you can try out PHP. I really like PHP and its funtionality with databases
