I want to write a script for Garrys mod

Everyone saying LUA already failed everything. Garrys mod scripts are easyyyy.

Go to youtube channel and watch <CODE BLUE>'s tutorials and you made test server and write something lua script.

Just set a goal to yourself, try to write it. Use Google, GMod WIKI, look at other code and you will make scripts. It's more easier than you think.

Garry's mod is coded in LUA, learn LUA and you got most of garry's mod down, there are plenty of tutorials like code blue or thecodingbeast

Firstly have some extend of programming experience, isn't necessary to have lua as your first language.

You also need good initiatives to think of features that server owner/ player might want.

The best way to learn Glua is extracting files and watching its code and creating your own scripts based on other addons , you can get a lot of info and examples in https://wiki.garrysmod.com/ or https://gmod.facepunch.com/ . Good luck.

Look at Tutorials but also look and try to understand other peoples work. It also depends on what you want to make which will determine how much experience you need.

Use the wiki, edit existing code and start with simple, VERY SIMPLE things.. I don't recommend watching videos..

To be honest the grief I was learning Lua for about 2 months
